Competitor benchmarking automatically identifies your Google Shopping competitors for each product and compares your content against theirs. The system analyzes title length, description word count, specification fields, image count, bullet points, and review data.
For each product, EcomIQX queries Google Shopping using the product GTIN or product name. It retrieves the top 5 competing listings.
For each competitor listing, the system fetches the live page and extracts: title, description, specs, images, bullet points, reviews.
Your product is compared against the competitor aggregate. You see your metric vs competitor average, gap percentage, and percentile ranking.
Focus on gaps where you are 30%+ below competitor average. Prioritize high-traffic products first. Category-wide gaps (all products thin) are high-impact batch fix opportunities.
Re-run benchmarking monthly. Competitors change content continuously. Set automatic monthly benchmarking in Settings.
