How Credits Work in EcomIQX
One credit pool for everything. Understand how credits are consumed, what each action costs, and how to get more.
One Pool, Every Action
EcomIQX uses a single credit pool for all AI-powered actions. Whether you rewrite a product title, generate alt text, enrich product data, or ask the Copilot a question — it all draws from the same monthly credit balance. No separate limits per feature. No mental math across multiple quotas.
This means you decide how to spend your credits. A month where you focus on bulk rewrites uses credits differently than a month where you ask the Copilot 50 analytical questions. The pool adapts to how you work.
Credit Costs Per Action
Different actions consume different amounts of credits based on their complexity and the AI resources they require.
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Alt text generation | 1 |
| Meta tags (title + description) | 1 |
| Quick request | 1 |
| Product enrichment | 2 |
| Full rewrite (title + description + meta) | 3 |
| Marketing content (social post, email) | 3 |
| Marketing content (blog article) | 5 |
| Copilot — simple question | 2 |
| Copilot — data lookup (1-2 tools) | 5 |
| Copilot — multi-source analysis (3+ tools) | 10 |
| Copilot — deep analysis (3+ tools, large results) | 20 |
How Copilot Credit Cost Is Determined
Copilot credits are classified automatically after each message based on complexity:
- Simple question (2 credits): "How many products do I have?" — no data lookups needed
- Data lookup (5 credits): "Show me products with low scores" — queries your catalog data
- Multi-source analysis (10 credits): "Why did German traffic drop this week?" — pulls from GSC, GA4, and product data
- Deep analysis (20 credits): "Compare Q1 vs Q2 performance across all markets with keyword gaps" — multiple data sources, large result sets
You do not choose the tier — the system classifies based on how many data tools the Copilot uses and how much data is returned. Simple questions stay cheap. Complex analytical work costs more because it processes more data.
Monthly Allocations by Plan
| Plan | Credits / month | Rough equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 30 | ~10 rewrites or ~30 alt texts |
| Pro ($99/mo) | 1,500 | ~500 rewrites or ~750 Copilot questions |
| Business ($299/mo) | 5,000 | ~1,666 rewrites or ~2,500 Copilot questions |
| Scale ($699/mo) | 20,000 | ~6,666 rewrites or ~10,000 Copilot questions |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | No limits |
In practice, most merchants use a mix of actions. A typical Pro customer doing 150 rewrites, 100 meta tags, 50 alt texts, and 30 Copilot questions per month uses about 700 credits — well under the 1,500 allocation.
What Happens When Credits Run Out?
When your monthly allocation is used up, AI actions pause until the next billing cycle. You have two options:
- Wait for reset: Credits refill on the first of each month with your billing cycle.
- Buy a credit pack: One-time purchases that never expire. Your monthly allocation is always consumed first — pack credits only kick in when you exceed your plan.
Credit Packs
| Pack | Credits | Price | Per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 250 | $15 | $0.06 |
| Medium | 1,000 | $50 | $0.05 |
| Large | 5,000 | $200 | $0.04 |
Packs stack — buy as many as you need. Credits carry over indefinitely until used. There is no cap on how many pack credits you can hold.
What Is NOT Counted as Credits
Some features use separate limits and do not draw from the credit pool:
- Keyword research — uses a separate monthly quota (5 to 1,000 groups/month depending on plan) because it calls an external keyword data API
- Catalog health scoring — free on all plans, runs without consuming credits
- Feed import — importing products does not cost credits
- Connectors — syncing data from Shopify, GSC, GA4, GMC does not cost credits
- Approval workflows — reviewing, approving, or rejecting content is free
Tips for Getting the Most from Your Credits
- Start with health scoring — it is free. Identify which products need work before spending credits on rewrites.
- Use bulk actions — rewriting 100 products at once costs the same per product as rewriting one. No premium for batch processing.
- Ask Copilot specific questions — "Show me the 10 worst products in Electronics" (5 credits) is more efficient than "Tell me everything about my catalog" (20 credits).
- Let agents handle routine work — agents on Business and Scale plans automatically identify and queue products for optimization. You review and approve instead of manually selecting.
